I am currently working at a Luxury Brand. Here is one of the cases to describe about how we learn from experience.
Since we got different events every season, and the biggest one which held at Hainan in March every year is always the one we focusing on. A special meeting will be held before the management meeting about this event, whether different departments will assign a person to attend it. The reason of holding this is for reviewing the issue which we faced last year, analyzing the issue and discussing suitable solution to prevent the same issue occurs.
It’s a causal meeting instead of an official one in order to gather more practical and suitable information among different departments, participants may also brainstorm for new ideas and concept for the event. Of course there will be an evaluation after the event every time, however, I found that it is more meaningful to have one like this to remind all of us to learn form mistake before processing.

I worked as an intern in HSBC bank last summer in the city of Xi'an in mainland, they offer e-learning course for all the employees as well as interns. The online e-learning course covers many aspects that employees need to remember and notice to work in a bank. They e-learning system will update frequently, about once a week, and the employees need to complete it and then submit in time.
For me, I took my internship in the Home Loan Department, there are totally 13 courses with different subjects, some of them are about the basic banking knowledge, like enhance our awareness about the fraud, some other offer some information about taking a loan in HSBC. There would be a test each course, we need to redo it unless we are 90% right in answering those questions. As they may update the course sometimes, so we need to log on to our own portal and check, redo those updated ones on time. Because at the end of the internship, the manager will check if we successfully complete all the courses and then provide the internship certificate.
They also provide us with some internal learning materials in relation to the Home Loan Department, for example, different resources that clients with different conditions should hand in while taking a loan from HSBC.
Moreover, we also have a morning meeting as well a afternoon meeting everyday with the branch manager. In the meeting, the manager would ask us to share our everyday working experience. Like one employee encounter a problem that day, and the others could offer some possible solutions.

During my undergraduate study in mainland China, I worked as a part-time English trainer in an IELTS training institution, which is precisely a learning organization.
Due to the fact that IELTS exam is held on the weekly basis in every corner of the world, the teaching staff normally review the latest exam papers and study the development trend of IELTS every week. We can obtain various kinds of physical documents from the library of our institution and get electronic resources from our internal system. After acquiring new information and knowledge about IELTS exam, we teaching staff often share our insights and ideas with each other. And in most cases this kind of knowledge sharing activities is conducted through our KM system and some meetings are regularly held to facilitate our face-to-face discussion about some important issues. The organization provides us with rich resources and decent environment for the sake of organizational learning.
Like the teaching staff, employees in the marketing department also treat constant learning as one of the top priorities during their work. Facing the fierce competition in the current educational market, they draw on the successful experience of others and propose effective and efficient methods to promote our courses and services, which is definitely the result of learning. Managers in the marketing department serve as leaders to organize severaal groups according to different topics to facilitate the learning process of all the marketing staff.
